Consecutive interpreting.
This type of interpretation is usually adopted when the group is small, and it consists of translating the message after the speaker has talked.
The interpreter takes down notes and waits until the speaker has finished expressing their ideas and only after that the message is translated into the other language.
The consecutive interpreting is widely used in business meeting because in general it may be done in small places without using sound equipment. In some particular cases, portable sound equipments can be used instead of an interpreter cabin.
